"This is our most interesting admission. You are known to be admitted by your mother Mrs. Roma and your father, His Honour Justice Roma sits with me at the bench," he said.

"There is no doubt that there is gratitude for His Honour as a member of Samoa's judiciary and your mother is a leader of the Samoa Law Society that their beloved daughter is being admitted to the bar."

Ms. Roma started her academic journey at Victoria University in 2016 where she ended up doing a Bachelor of Arts and graduated in 2018.

"First of all, I give glory back to God because without him I wouldn't be here today and it's very emotional but also a humbling experience to be able to be admitted to the bar, especially with my mother as moving counsel and my dad at the bench," she said.

"I'm very grateful for their support as well as the support of my family and friends."

"They didn't really push me into the legal field but it was something that I always wanted since I was little, and I just wanted to follow their footsteps.

"I think it's a very big challenge and I don't take lightly the work that they've done over the years but I think it's also something that would help me work harder towards ."

Ms. Roma's admission was celebrated and witnessed by her family and friends as well as senior members of the bar.
