Pene Timoteo , 39 , Toamua.

"I disagree that the church members should wear themselves out trying to meet such requirements. First off, people shouldn't pay in the first place, the cost of living is very expensive these days and it's hard to keep up. It would be nice if we just made offerings wholeheartedly and not based on standards"

Lasela Auatama, 49 , Saleaula

"Our church had just wrapped up our Fa'amati and believe it we did it with whatever we could afford. The problem is people compare themselves with others, its not about money or possessions, it's what in your heart that matters. Our fa'amati was very simple and our leader happily accepted whatever we offered, we shouldn't suffer because of looks and standards."

Tuia'i Tavita, 27, Malie

"People these days tend to just do things out of egotism and it's sad, to be honest. The cost of living is so expensive, spending $100 is like spending $10. For that reason, I don't think we should spend much on fa'amati, it's getting out of hand".

Eterei Malaki , 40 , Moamoa

"I'm very skeptical because I'm from a different denomination but the idea does strike a conversation. The cost of living is expensive and people should learn that it's quite difficult to make ends meet. Give what you can, from your heart and not based on other people's offerings, it will make life easier, learn to accept what God has given us."

Teddy Ropati , 43 , Toamua

"It's crazy to think that we even have to do this much work to pay for the word of God, it's a sensitive topic but needs to be addressed. Many families have been in debt because of this, it is not just fa'amati, it's the attitude towards it. People need to learn that not everything should include money, look at Jesus, he sets a good example and has never asked for payment during his preachings."

Amia Vilia , 43, Moamoa

''Whatever God has blessed us with should be greatly appreciated, we shouldn't give more if we know we can't afford it. The true meaning of gifting comes from the heart not based on egotism, it's what makes something authentic and sincere."
