At it again, keyboard warriors

As Samoa (and the world) begins to see what really happens in the oft-neglected village life, keyboard warriors have taken it upon themselves to attack the villagers for openly speaking about their lives.

It begs a series of questions like:

Do they really know what they are talking about?

Are they just bored and want to leave a comment?

Or are they too arrogant to see past their own privileged lives?

“Go plant some food, there’s no poverty in Samoa,” advised one warrior. But what about the people who don’t have fertile lands? The ones who live on lava fields (there are plenty in the rural villages).

“Samoa Observer is making the families look bad,” said another.

Last time we checked, it’s pretty hard to force anyone to say anything in this country. It’s not like the reporters were holding guns to their heads.

And hang on, isn’t the series called Village Voice?

And that’s what it is; giving the villagers a voice.
