The Police are investigating the death of a bouncer who worked at a local nightclub who was allegedly clubbed on the head with a heavy weight during his shift. The man suffered the injuries last week.

On Friday, he collapsed and died at his home.

The man worked as a bouncer at Seana Night Club.

“The matter is treated as a homicide case as Police investigations continue,” said Police Superintendent and Media Spokesperson Aupa’au Logoitino Filipo.

“To date, no one has been arrested and that’s all I can say in this case.”

The deceased man is in his late 30's.

According to one uncle who wants to be identified as Lole, the victim was struck on the head with a hard object at work.

Members of the victim’s family are still in shock.

“He was then taken to the hospital,” said Lole.

“However he was released and then on Friday he collapsed and died at his residence in Apia."

“We hope the Police will make this a priority because we really want to know what happened.”
