Strength in numbers

Dear Editor

Re: Villager tired of ‘broken promises’

Excellent point. The village people should go to the MP in mass. They need to go in big numbers to show they are serious.

They need to appoint someone in the group to follow up on a daily basis to assure their demands are being worked on and not fallen on deaf ears.

IF, nothing is done within a reasonable time frame, they need to get together AGAIN and take their grievance to the MP in mass. You need to show you’re serious.

The solution to these problems is the “people.” Start at the village level. Thanks for reminding me of the process.

Ultimately the buck stops with the PM because part of his responsibilities is to make sure his ministers report to him so he knows what’s going on. If they’re not, then he’s not doing enough to make them accountable. OK, that’s a whole ‘nother conversation!
