Member of Parliament, La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Polata’ivao, has not resigned and will not resign from the Human Rights Protection Party.

He made the point during a press conference he called today to discuss the threats by Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi to sack him over his rejection of Government-driven laws in Parliament last week.

“I am a servant from Gagaifoimauga 3 and I was elected by my constituency,” Laaui said.

“I voted against the Government’s Electoral Constituencies Bill in Parliament mainly due to the fact that my District will be greatly affected by this bill.”

La’auli said the decision on whether to resign from the H.R.P.P. comes from his District.

“I did not resign and I will not resign,” he said.
