Address poverty now

Dear Editor,

Re: Economic reasons force 400 women to sex work

13-year-olds selling themselves sexually because of poverty is a tragic situation that is festering away in Samoa.

Samoa has become a sex tourist destination for pedophiles.

I have seen it with my own eyes.

As long as the P.M. pretends poverty doesn’t exist in Samoa this problem will just get worse and the children selling themselves will just get younger.

How long before all the street vendor children realize they can make more money selling their dignity and their bodies than selling twisties and hair clips.

The P.M. and the H.R.P.P need to be helping these families and these children so that they are not vulnerable to pedophile tourists that will destroy them.
