Elama Fanuafou Tofilau and Lima Sharon Filemu began a new chapter of their lives when they exchanged vows in holy matrimony at the Zion Church, Vaitele, on Tuesday.

From the villages of Iva, Savai’i and Vaitele, the couple decided to start this new year with a celebration of their love with families and friends.

“We’ve been together for four years,” Mr. and Mrs. Tofilau said.

“Stepping up to another level of life in marriage is all God’s planning for our lives for we believe we’re meant to be together.

“There were ups and downs, challenges in the past four years, but those were the obstacles that made us strong.”

The couple plan to live in New Zealand to raise their family.

Lima’s parents are; Pelepesite and Filemu Agali’i. Her maid of honour was Petone Tofia Ainu’u.

Elama is the son of Motiana  and Tofilau Lino. The best man was Henry Tuala.

The service was followed by a reception at T.A.T.T.E building.
