The Samoa Touch Rugby Inc. hosted the Touch a Rainbow Social Grade Touch Tournament on Saturday 2nd February at the St Joseph’s College fields at Alafua. The social grade tournament was a great success with 10 teams vying for the title.

After 5 rounds of pool games, APC, Ace Hardware, Team Sparkle and GG Construction advanced to the semi-finals. Both semi-finals were thrilling matches with Ace Hardware and GG Construction overcoming their opponents to book a place in the Final. The final was a great match but Ace Hardware proved to be too strong for their opponents, winning the final 5-2 and finishing the tournament undefeated. 

During the prize giving, the awards were presented by Elsie Ula (Bluesky Samoa). There was a great mix of teams who participated in this one-dayer, ranging from family teams to church youth teams. It was refreshing to see more youth and new players participate in this tournament.
