Not so great against Argentina

The joy of an upset win against Fiji has been short lived for the Manu Samoa Sevens.

The team has lost its second match of the tournament, 25-12, against Argentina.

A quick try in the first half and second try in the dying minutes of the game was all the team had to show as they struggled against the Pumas.

Even more concerning, key player Tila Mealoi had to be assisted from the field after what appears to have been a concussion.

They are likely to not have him for tomorrow’s All important game against France.

Earlier in the day, the inexperienced Manu Samoa Sevens got their Las Vegas Sevens campaign off to a flying start, knocking off Fiji, 28-24.

The win was built on an attitude of never say die after the Fijians looked like they were heading for a win.

But Samoa fought back in the dying seconds to steal the match, sending the crowd in Las Vegas and their fans back home to celebrate.
