Wallabies winger Joe Tomane to play in France
SYDNEY (AP) — Wallabies winger Joe Tomane has confirmed he will join French club Montpellier from the end of the current Super Rugby season.
The 26-year-old Tomane has played 17 tests for Australia since his debut against Scotland in 2012. He played for the Melbourne Storm and Gold Coast Titans in Australia's National Rugby League before switching to rugby union in 2011 when he joined the ACT Brumbies.
Tomane announced his impending departure Tuesday, saying "I hope that the possibility of returning to the Wallabies in the future is something that could happen. However, right now my focus is doing everything I can to help the Brumbies in 2016 before my move to France."
