Business Systems Limited (B.S.L.) presented $4,900 to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (M.E.S.C.) yesterday to help celebrate World Teacher’s Day today.

The cheque was presented by the Marketing Manager of Business System Limited, Leeroy Feaunati, to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Education, Afamasaga Dr. Karoline Fuata’i.

Afamasaga thanked Business System Limited for their generous donation and honoring the hard work of teachers in the country.

Leeroy told the Samoa Observer that there were a lot of reasons why teachers should be appreciated.

“We all know that teachers play a great and most important role in our country,” Leeroy said.

“They help our children to improve their knowledge, skill level, confidence as well as shaping them to achieve success.”

“So for the B.S.L, we too have some responsibilities by helping them out in celebrating their day today.”

The B.S.L. sponsorship for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes of the Banners and Poster competitions are all cash prices totaling $4,900.

“From the management and staff of B.S.L. we would like to wish you all teachers of Samoa and the world happy world teachers’ day,” Leeroy added.

The theme for World Teacher’s Day this year is ‘Teaching in Freedom, Empowering Teachers’.
