Hockey is definitely picking up steam in Samoa.

As more villages are exposed to the sport,  there is a large influx of teams raring to participate in hockey tournaments.

Such was the case in the National Hockey Tournament that has been gaining strength each week.

In which, the finale game came down to  a heated match between the Lotofaga Hockey Club and Vamioso-Uta Cadets.

The match consisted of a tremendous amount of effort displayed by the young athletes.  The teams were evenly match and unable to get ahead of the other.

Finally, within the sparingly few last minutes of the match , the Lotofaga Cadets scored a goal finishing the game with an end score of 1-0.

The Lotofaga Hockey Club is being coached by Miss Meagan Good, who is a Peace Corp teacher at Lotofaga Primary School.
