In an effort to amplify support and sponsorship of our beloved Manu Samoa, Bluesky is backing all local Seven aside tournaments.

As loyal sponsors of our National Manu Samoa 7s team over the last 4 years, Bluesky continues to explore ways to give back to our loved sport.

“We’re very passionate about supporting our manu Samoa and we believe they need us now more than ever,” says Alex Abraham country manager of Bluesky. “One of the ways we are showing our support is to sponsor all our local events to build and grow talent right here at home.”

“We want to use our strengths to support through our media reach and of course our sponsorship capacity. Our Bluesky team also want to help keep the sport relevant and front of mind to encourage local clubs and let them know we are here to make a difference.”

The Bluesky National Sevens tournament ran over two Saturdays and ended yesterday on a high with Moata’a winning the grand final cup.

The results were stunning with teams going neck to neck and displaying discipline and passion for the sport and their teams.

The grand final was the highlight and a close game with both teams tied at 14 all during full time allowing for extra time.

Final score was 19-14 to Moata’a who fought hard to the end.

“We intend to run more of these local events in partnership with SRU,” said Alex Abraham.

“We want the whole country to back our Rugby 7s not just at an international level, but especially at a local level. We want to turn these tournaments into days that the whole country looks forward to and comes out with family & friends to watch.”

“More importantly, we want more of our locals to be part of the national team selections.”

“We believe in local talent and we want to show our support. It’s why we are major sponsors for our Manu Samoa & Netball Samoa.”
