A business owned by a Samoan was recently recognised for its role in helping Pacific islanders develop their businesses in New Zealand.

ARBEZ is owned by Manutui Alesana Talopa’u and has been in existence for less than two years.

The New Zealand-registered business was given an award by the Samoa Business Network on their recent business trip to Samoa.

“ARBEZ is really bringing together a network of professionals’ lawyers, accountants, financial advisers, and health practitioners etc. to work on their financial and economic wellness,” Manutui told the Samoa Observer.

“A lot of my friends are very health conscious, they have their own gyms, and they run their own programmes.

“I believe that if you get your financial and health sorted, health is your wealth, we can enjoy life at a different level altogether.”

Manutui said he ensures that he creates a life for himself that will help him set an example to those he works with.

“This is about myself as well, if I am going to promote financial well-being and physical well-being, I’ve got to look it and I’ve got to live it,” he said.

“Right now, I live in my beautiful home I love. You can really share with someone else if you’ve done that. There’s the three words, Be –Do –Have.

“In order to do something, you must first be something, and if you do that, you can have anything you want and ARBEZ is just a combination of all that.”

Manutui is not only a Samoan, but a proud representative of Pacific Islanders, he said.

“In New Zealand, I don’t promote myself only as a Samoan; I stand for my Pacific community, every Pacific Island. I am a Pacific person in New Zealand.

“So my slang in New Zealand when I speak at different places is ‘Pacific for Pacific’, as I come here it is ‘Samoa mo Samoa’.”
