If a business is looking for someone with commitment and dedication, Eneliko Savea, 28-years old from Fusi, Saoluafata, is putting up his hand.

He desperately needs a job for his family. He is a father of a one-month old baby.

“We just started developing our family,” he told Village Voice

“As you can see this is what I do. I work the plantation so we can have some food and money.

“Life nowadays is not easy anymore. You won’t get anything if you don’t work hard, don’t wait for someone to give you food but work it out by yourself instead.”

But Eneliko said he is looking for a job to earn steady income.

“Sometime I feel bad for not providing money for my family especially as a father.”

While he earns money from the plantation, he said it is not enough.

“It is hard because I do the work by myself.

“I really try my best working late in the plantation to get some crops not only to sell it within my village but for food as well. When we have the money, we have so many things to spend it on. There is living expenses, water, electricity and other things.”

So what kind of job is he after?

“I’m skilled in many things. I would like to work in a hard labour job.

“Whatever job I get. I can even work long hours or overtime if that’s what it takes to earn money.

“I’m hoping that getting a job will help me and my family a lot because as the time my daughter grows up I’m willing to support and give everything for her.”
