The Beauty of Crowning Glory

By Samoa Observer 06 June 2016, 12:00AM

Our salon opened from 5am to 8am for clients on the 54th Samoa Independence Day Celebration  I thought about hairstyles and fashion (the traditional wears) worn by our ancestors...but not just that,

I considered the sacrifice of women, men, families of the Mau to gain our freedom...my thoughts were interrupted by the lights of speeding cars going past the salon to the ceremony

Pride and gratefulness are the feelings I have when I contemplate Samoa’s Independence Day.

Grateful that our forefathers had the courage and determination to pursue freedom for themselves, their children and country for generations ahead...this pictorial represents beautiful Samoan Women who have paved the way for the youth of today
