Re: Faleolo Airport

The expanded capacity of the airport to handle more flights is the utility of the expansion. Not whether it is flash or not. 

More flights landing in Samoa means the greater number of tourists entering Samoa which means more hotels, motels, restaurants, rental cars to service those tourists and other visitors, mechanics to service those rental cars, more car dealers to sell those cars, more food to service those hotels and motels and restaurants from our farmers, which means more money into the villages and so on and so forth. 

The economic monetary flow of money into the economy was started at Faleolo but ends up in Neiafu or Falealupo. The current airport cannot handle more than two flights at one time at the absolute most.

The next step is to get more flights into the country. This next step cannot even be contemplated unless there is a bigger airport to handle those extra flights.
