An organisation called “One in Christ” is hosting a prayer conference for Samoa this week.

The Samoa Prayer Conference 2017 started yesterday.

The Vice Secretary of the Organisation, Pastor Tafā Faamatala said the event is an annual one where different denominations are invited to come together to pray for God’s guidance upon Samoa.

“This is an annual event and it’s hosted by “One in Christ” which is an organization of different denominations and churches and local Christian ministries,” he said.

“So from Monday to Friday in the mornings and in the evenings, we come together for prayers. The morning services will start at 10a.m. and the evening services will start at 7p.m.

“The morning services we'll be teaching a little bit about prayer and then we all pray for Samoa.”

He went on to say that the week long event will see different pastors from different denominations delivering a message to everyone.

“In the evening we’re going to have guest speakers from local denominations here in Samoa who will be giving out the message to everyone,” he said.

“So every night there will be a guest speaker and they will be going to bring forth a word from God.

“There’s definitely a plan in the future to invite some of the guest speakers from overseas but as for now only local speakers are delivering the word of God.

“So different denominations will definitely fill the place and we are just coming together to do things together for our country and pray together for God’s helping hand to be upon Samoa as we begin our journey for this year 2017.”
