Samoa of yesterday and today

Dear Editor Re: Samoa must decide what fa’asamoa means, together Modernity and the traditional fa’asamoa cultural settings have their contextual relevance from either a historical perspective which maybe considered best preserved in our past, from that of our traditional cultural settings, as likened to the contemporaries whom lived through those times.

When you insult my faith

Re: About creation You’re such a hypocrite. You insult my faith, then you say I insult you. I answered every charge you made, then you become disingenuous and repeat the same argument, typical of you heathens when your arguments start to fall apart.

Human rights

Re: Samoa a shining light How shallow are these four so-called advocates of human rights. Feels like their scope and narrow-minded vision is limited by what manners of control as per the H.R.P.P’s collective mandate.

After reading Letaa Taniuelu Maiava personal opinion on Samoa Observer 3 rd September 2018, I feel that I must also express my own view as a genuine member of the EFKS church in contrary to his.

Fa’afafine are respected in Samoa

Dear Editor, Re: Religious and cultural elements affect L.G.B.T.I. I read this with interest. I think Tuisina Brown is ignoring the fact that our Fa’afafine’s are treated with respect in our community.

Cheering World Rugby

Re: Fuimaono and World Rugby The Samoa Observer editorial is quite clear. They blame the S.R.U. for selecting Fuimaono in the first place. Such a suck-up to World Rugby. It is disgraceful that World Rugby have such a massive hold on Samoan rugby now.

Invest in doctors and nurses

Dear Editor, Re: Interplast medical team Impressive! They mentioned in the article that most of their patients are from the rural area of Samoa, which is great! I’m concerned about those that fall through the cracks and maybe the severe cases of these conditions and are not aware.

Is this deliberate

Re: P.M. says nurses need more training Maybe P.M. is right. Training is not adequate. An allergic reaction (eg Anaphylaxis) by two babies in a row is less believable than a tainted or bad medicine. (must have that autopsy) Hope there are no ulterior motives with P.M. driving this narrative of which puts the blame on nurses.

Banana help
