There’s always good in everything if you are willing to find and accept it.

Seventeen-year-old Roland Tilo of Nu’u Fou knows it.

The Village Voice caught up with him  yesterday. He left school last year due to financial issues.

“I’m the second of my parents’ seven children,” he said.

“Honestly, I don’t want to see my parents in such a way (struggling) and that’s why I’ve told them that I need to find a job to help them out...and my other siblings in school.”

He attended Nu’uausala College.

“I know education is the way to success but I don’t feel like going back to school anymore knowing that my parents are struggling every day,” he said.

“My sister is the only one, who works to take care of everything and it’s just so hard for her to stretch her salary every week especially here (Nu’u Fou), everything is money.”

He understands that ‘without a high school education, finding a job is more difficult.’

“But I believe there’s always someone out there that will want to hire me and find me a way to earn money to help my family out,” Roland said.

“I know life is very hard these days, and that’s why I need to find a job.

“God knows why I left school and I’m positive that he’ll provide something for me to help my family out.”

Roland said he cares deeply about his family.

“Showing my family that I do care for them and that I’m there for them is what makes life worth living,” he said.

“If, I’m hired for a job, that’s the best feeling ever...honestly I want to succeed in life and I know I am responsible for making that happen.

“For life is about being happy, loving my parents and helping to make a difference in my family’s life.

Roland can be contacted on 7746013 if you can help him with a job.
