Digicel Samoa has announced the launch of Play Go, its all-new live streaming app with exclusive content for sports fans and TV lovers across Samoa.

The Play Go app features fantastic viewing content channels in its launch stage for Digicel customers who can access the app on their smartphones using Digicel Supa Seki 4G+ Network.

There will be further announcements on new channel additions, both local and international, in coming weeks.

Play Go provides live and direct action from some of the best international sports competitions including Super Rugby, Premiership Rugby from the United Kingdom, National Rugby League and World Wrestling Entertainment. The world’s most watched football property, the Premier League Channel is also on Play Go.

Customers will have access to live matches, analysis and unrivalled behind the scenes action. Another key feature is the popular soap dramas that are well-liked by the locals as well as a dedicated Christian channel – Day Star.

All content on Play Go can be watched any time, right from the convenience of your own phone. In addition to international content, Play Go will also bring to your palms, local news and content in partnership with local TV operators.

Digicel Samoa C.E.O., Farid Mohammed, explained, “In the world of entertainment, content is king and getting it to our customers’ hands in as many ways as possible, is of paramount importance to us.

We have a great line up of content that is market relevant with a lot more being added very soon, so watch this space.”

“As I’ve mentioned earlier, we are focused on the future and we will continue to lead and bring to market innovative products and offers that continue to keep us updated with the rest of the world.

We’ve been encouraging our customers to upgrade to a 4G smartphone and this is a key component for a quality experience. You will need a good quality smartphone to be able to thoroughly enjoy what Play Go has to offer,” Farid added.

As an introductory offer, Digicel customers will receive free, unlimited access to Play Go streaming services whenever they top up five Tala or more.

Access times to free unlimited viewing are dependent on top up amounts and are valid for 24 hours from time of top up.

Additionally, any new customer that purchases a 4G smartphone and sim card, will be entitled to three months of free unlimited Play Go viewing providing they have an active Supa Seki data plan.

Play Go is available exclusively to all Digicel mobile customers and can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store for Android users and iTunes Store for iOS users.
