The victorious Human Rights Protection Party collective gave thanks to God on Sunday morning at their headquarters.

Reverend Toailoa Peleti of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa conducted the combined service.

He encouraged the members of the H.R.P.P to put God first as He is the creator of all things.

“God has chosen all of you to be the caretakers of the people and leaders of the country,” he said.

“So you need to lead with love and honesty. You have been chosen by the people of your constituency because they trust and believe in you. It is God’s will for you to be here and through the people He has made it happen.

“Don’t forget to put God first and He will guide you throughout your journey.”

At Petesa, Party member, La’aulialemalietoa Polata’ivao Fosi is the man in charge.

He said the one week camp is a H.R.P.P tradition.

“I was part of this tradition when I was young as my father was in Parliament for 40 years, so I know the procedures and what the camp stands for,” he said.

“But for the new members, it’s a time to observe and get themselves immersed into the procedures of the H.R.P.P, to become part of the whole movement so we are one when it’s time to go to Parliament.”
