It is your will, not the skill.

Speaking to the Village Voice, Filo Misa from Salelesi said he wants to be employed as a driver.

The 61-year-old believes he may be old but he still has the energy and will to work.

“I’ve been applying to be a driver to a lot of companies from the beginning of this year,” he said.

“But so far I still haven’t got any callbacks after several interviews.

“The simple answer they gave me was ‘we will give you a call’, at the end of every interview but no calls of anyone accepting me yet.

“So that’s why you caught me here by the sea, I was about to go fishing for some fish for dinner.”

Age is only a number for Filo.

“Eventhough I’m old, I’m not the type of person that’s used to a lazy life because I’m someone who holds a very strong work ethic.”

Misa has been dreaming to be a driver for a company one day.

“I really want to be a driver and I’m really good at it.

“I’m someone who’s always on time and I promise not to miss any working day.

“I have a private license so it’s only a call that I’m waiting for.

When asked why he wants to work at his age, he answered “because I feel young and I still have the will to work.

“Not only that but also I want to work to help with some of the things in my family; like our water.

“We have water but the flow is not really that strong and it gets worse when the weather is too hot.

“See, these are the little things that matter to people and I want to work for it.

“I want to do it for myself and I want to do it for my family.

“If I’m given a chance to work as a driver for any business, I will be honest in doing my work and to my employer as well.

“You don’t have to worry about how I will perform; I’m honest and I don’t steal.

“I’m a Christian and I value my obligations to my church.

“Being a Christian also contributes to the qualities I hold.”
