E.F.K.S., stand your ground

Dear Editor,

In observing the Headline of the Samoa Observer Wednesday 4th July 2018, there I could see the photo of the Minister of Revenue Tialavea Tionisio Hunt in his beautiful floral shirt pink and yellow in colour for the first time.

I could tell in his face, that there’s something doubtful in his mind, as he stands his ground while the church awaits the execution of the last chance he has given them.

The question is “Why are you such in a hurry Minister?”

Is there an urgent need that the government wants to meet, but have badly run out of funds?

Is that the cause of the desperation?

I hope not Mr. Minister. There is a saying ‘If a man closes the doors, God would open the windows.”

If July 31st the due date for registration by the Minister of Revenue, God will open up another chance for the Church, until things are settled down smoothly in the most Godly way.

Mr. Minister, do not be misled by this newly passed law, assuming that E.F.K.S. openly defies the laws. No.

All the people of this country and the Pacific and even the whole world, know that the E.F.K.S. Ministers are law-abiding people of Samoa.

They all know that no one is above the law.

They do not need any special treatment from the government regarding the taxation of Faifeau Samoa of the E.F.K.S.

They do not obstruct any government law. They respect all laws of the state, except for this New law of tax, that has to be rectified.

So E.F.K.S., bide your own time, and stand your own ground, until time is ripe for such a change.

Have a good day!
