Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B.) is celebrating its 10th year Anniversary by launching a number of community projects yesterday.

The projects include the S.S.A.B. E-waste Project, the Tafaigata Prison Library, which is a joint project with the New Zealand High Commission and the Lithgow Family in Melbourne, Australia, their Literacy month and S.S.A.B’s E-market Website.

Winners for their poster competition as well as their Meka Challenge dance competition for schools and individuals were also announced during the event.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi congratulated the owner and President of the company, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, for all the hard work that S.S.A.B. has done in the development of the people and the country.

Tofilau Fiti said the company had come a long way.

“S.S.A.B. was established in 2008 so this year marks its 10th year of being in business and we give praise and honour to God for these 10 years of blessings,” she said.

“The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians said: ‘Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up’. I quote this scripture because establishing and managing S.S.A.B. these past 10 years has been quite a challenge, with success being the only option as our home was mortgaged to finance S.S.A.B.”

“For a new business like S.S.A.B. at the time to break into the market at the time, I really needed it to be innovative, competitive, informative, active and attractive.”

“So with God’s help and favour, S.S.A.B.’s arrival changed the business landscape in Samoa where customer service was prioritized which means our service has to be top notch.”

Tofilau added there were also challenges but at the end they relied on God.

“With this trust in God and a lot of hard work and sacrifices, S.S.A.B. has grown to seven branches located in three countries and employing about 150 people,” she said.

“I return to God all the glory and the honour for guidance and protection, which has enabled S.S.A.B. to celebrate its 10th year anniversary.”

“It has been a remarkable journey with a remarkable team so thank you my S.S.A.B. staff you guys are so talented, dedicated and committed.”
