The Methodist Church compound at Faleula is a popular destination this week.

Away from the main part of the Church’s annual conference, the entertainment section of the gathering is a popular attraction for church members and friends.

For most people, the event is a good time for families to get together.

Sela Keni from Savai’i was among the spectators on Monday night.

“Tonight I was able to listen to young children sing and also act,” she said.

“Which is something that I really enjoy. Allowing children to play a part in the performances that are showcased helps them a lot in the long run.

“Confidence will be built within them and they get to find their inner self with everything that they do in life.”

Speaking to the Samoa Observer she stated that it is rare that she comes to Apia only on certain occasions but when she does every second is worthwhile.

“This meeting is important on all areas of life. We travel here as a team to listen and raise our views on certain topics that are discussed but there is more to it.”

“The more I come every year, I get to see fellowship and live together with people that we go to the same church. It is a good experience because unity is formed through every get together we have.”

“Every morning we say our prayer then off we go to our different tasks. This is something that is about breaking chains and barriers through this time that we spend together here.”
