Competition heats up in Super 9

Round eight of the Super 9 Rugby Championships brought some entertaining fixtures.

First up at Lalomanu Aleipata, the Legends of Anoama’a, Aleipata & Atua i Saute hosted the only undefeated team of the tournament, Eels of Vaimauga.

Legends had all the advantage including the home crowd.

In the end, they finished three points shy with the Eels winning, 38-35.

Southern Tornadoes of Siumu and Falealili hosted the Vikings of Fa’asaleleaga Itu o Tane & Amoa regions at Palalaua College in Siumu.

Tornadoes won 26-6.

In Faleata, the Knights hosted the Chiefs of Aana Aiga I le Tai & Falelatai. Knights were looking to defeat the Chiefs but failed with the Chiefs winning, 28-7

At Apia Park, Navigators of Safata and Lefaga took on the Warriors of Palauli, Salega & Asau.

The Navigators won, 36-25.

Next week will be the final Round of the Super 9 Rugby Championships, and will find out the top four teams that will be feature in the playoffs match for semifinals and final.
