In life, we must never lose hope.

We have to remain positive and believe that whatever we want, there will be a window of opportunity to somewhere, somehow.

Meet Fa’alaga Asiata, 23, from the village of Nu’u Fou.

He is searching for a job and he is confident he will secure one soon.

Mr. Asiata met the Village Voice team while on his way to gather breadfruits from his neighbor’s house yesterday.

Mr. Asiata was a former employee of a local company.

He now stays home with his sister and brother-in-law.

“I stopped working because something broke when I was supervising and I had to pay it using my salary,” he said.

“I am now staying at home with my sister and her husband. They both work and they are the ones who support our family of three.”

Mr. Asiata told Village Voice believes he will get another opportunity.

“I am looking for a job right now to assist my sister in supporting our family and myself as well.”

Mr. Asiata said nothing was the same with him anymore after he left work.

“It means I have let down my family and I am desperate for another job so that I can make it up to my family.

“Things have been hard for me as well because I don’t have money and everything today is about money, especially buying things for myself.”

Mr. Asiata added he believed there was another work for him out there and he was just waiting for the right time.

“I know I have made mistakes during my previous work but I believe there is hope in everything.”

Mr. Asiata can be contacted on mobile phone number +685 7771649.
