The Samoa Chamber of Commerce kick started the week with its first training for 2017.
In collaboration with the Samoa In-country Training Programme of the Oloamanu Centre for Professional Development and Continuing Education of the NUS, the Samoa Chamber of Commerce hosted the Marketing and Communications Essentials training from the 6-10th March.
The five half day course focused on building the skills and capacity of marketing and communications staff by integrating effective practices to implement in the workplace.
The training was delivered by Susan Piket of Barbican Training Centre Limited from New Zealand with 20 participants from various businesses and organizations within the private sector.
Feedback from participants indicated that the workshop was very helpful and informative for their line of work. Vaovasa Lueli, Merchandiser and Sales representative of Ah Liki Wholesale stated, “I have learnt a lot this week and gained more knowledge about marketing concepts. The activities were enjoyable and I would definitely like to attend a similar training in the future”.
Pacific Ezy Money Transfer Sales Executive, Tavai Meredith, found the workshop not only informative but also as a good way to network with other businesses “this training was a great opportunity, I loved the ideas that we exchanged and I look forward to implementing what I have learnt in my workplace”.
