Women gather in Samoa for the word of God

“In God’s plan for the world, women share a special value.”

With that in mind, the Peace Chapel Christian Fellowship is hosting the Daughters of the King conference for the 10th time this year. More than 600 women are expected to attend the event, which starts today at 7pm at Vaimea.

“We simply offer a place where we as women can gather around the word of God, to be reminded of our worth and value,” Alesi Unoi, of the Peace Chapel Christian Fellowship, says. With some of the participants arriving from overseas, organising the conference has been a challenge.

“We have quite a bit of delegation coming from Australia, including visitors from the cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Others will visit us from New Zealand and American Samoa.

“It really is a huge conference which is simply bigger than us. Every attendant will be handed gift packs during our opening ceremony and of course there is so much food to be prepared for all of them over the days.”

According to Mrs. Unoi, the conference is not only held to gather around and pray, but also to “bless God’s women, who work so hard wherever God has planted them.

“With our conference, we want to offer a view onto God’s way to say ‘I see you, and I appreciate you,’” Mrs. Unoi said. The 10th renewal of the Daughters of the King conference will also include entertainment.

Most importantly besides the worship of women all around the globe, the conference will also address women issues by discussing certain discrepancies regarding the role of women in society.

“God has gifted us with all abilities to make this conference possible and we will try our best with that,” Mrs. Unoi concluded.

The conference will start this evening at Peace Chapel in Vaimea, registration fee for interested visitors amounts to $50. The Peace Chapel Christian Fellowship can be reached at 20343 for further information.
