The St. George Illawarra Dragons defeated Melbourne 20-10 on Saturday to prevent the Storm from moving level on points with first-place Cronulla in the National Rugby League.

Cronulla, which has played one less match than the Storm, has 26 points to Melbourne's 24.

In the only other completed match this weekend, winger Bevan French scored a pair of tries as Parramatta beat South Sydney 30-12.

The New Zealand Warriors host the Sydney Roosters on Sunday at Auckland.

Only four matches were scheduled due to Wednesday's second State of Origin match between New South Wales and Queensland at Brisbane. Queensland won the first match 6-4 and can clinch its 10th series in 11 years with a victory Wednesday.

Gold Coast plays Manly on Monday to close out the abbreviated 15th round.
