‘MY DREAM IS TO PLAY FOR MANU SAMOA’: Lusiano Brown in Fasitoo-Uta

Manu Samoa might be going through one its worst periods in terms of results but there is a lack of young men that are proud to wear the blue jersey.

Lusiano Brown of Fasitoo-uta is one of them.

The 18-year-old from a family of eight has absolutely no doubt about what he wants to do.

“I’m a proud Samoan and I want to play for the Manu Samoa,” he said. “That is my goal.”

“It has always been a dream for me. I grew up always wanting to be like Brian Lima, Pita Fatialofa and Michael Jones. They are my idols.”

“They have left a huge impact in my life and I dream that one day I can become like them.”

Lusiana knows he has a lot of work to do.

But he is willing to put in the sacrifice.

“I know it’s a huge process but if you believe it, you can achieve it,” Lusiano believes

The young man also shared his thoughts about the current Manu Samoa team.

“I’m very disappointed with our Manu; it is not the coach’s fault,” he said about their winless record this year.

“The blame should be on the boys and their poor performance.”

“Our Samoa Rugby Union should consider choosing our local boys now because they play from the heart not for the money.”

Lusiano is worried that Samoa might not even qualify for the Rugby World Cup.

“The Rugby World Cup is near and I don’t see any effort or improvement from our boys,” he said. “There doesn’t seem to be any urgency at all.”

“The Samoa rugby union should do something about it.”

Lusiano is a very determined young man; he speaks from his heart and believes that one day his dream will come true.

“I also enjoy playing volleyball but rugby has always been my passion. Hopefully that someday, I will be able to fulfill my dream of playing for Manu Samoa.”

Look out for this name in the future.
