You have to fight to reach your dreams.

Peo Manese has many dreams and he is willing to put in the hard work to realise them.

“I know it will take a long time but I will still try my best,” he said.

The 18-year-old is from Tanugamalala and is the youngest of six siblings.

Peo was kicked out of school in year 10.

“I used to go to Faleata College, but due to my bad conduct and the bad decisions I made, I got kicked out of school.

“I regret it big time, if only I could turn back time and correct the entire mistake, I would, but then there’s nothing I can do anymore… what has already been done is now done.

“However, that doesn’t mean I will stop here, if I want to correct my past mistakes I have to look for other options to prove that I can do better.”

“Going back to school is my first step.”

“I’m looking forward to enrolling next year at Don Bosco.  I want to be a carpenter

“I want to make use of my skills and the strength that I have as a teenager.

“Being the youngest of the family, I don’t want to be labeled as the prodigal son… instead, I want to be someone that people rely upon.”

In the meantime, his priority is looking after his sick father.

“The life of my father is more important, and as the youngest son of the family, I have to sacrifice everything to care for my father.”

Peo also spoke about youth in his village.

He said he stays away from some of them as they are very bad influence in his life.
