A special mass at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral at Mulivai on Sunday united the Marist family in prayer as the inaugural Marist International Sports Week continues.

The mass was an opportunity to acknowledge God’s guidance and protection on the first events of the Sports week including the boxing, netball and rugby league tournament which were held during the weekend.

It was also an opportunity to commit the grand finale of the event, the Vailima International Marist Sevens, scheduled to kick off on Friday.

The service was attended by the tournament’s defending champions, Auckland Marist.

Later, members of the club, officials and athletes later gathered at the Marist St. Joseph’s Hall for special to’onai.

The Sports Week continues with the touch rugby tournament at the Hockey fields today.
