Matai titles joy at Sapunaoa

Sixty new holders of the Taitu’uga and Manu Samoa titles were welcomed last week Saturday at Sapunaoa, Falealili.

The new holders are the descendants of Taitu’uga, Manusamoa Isamaeli.

Pemerina Rokeni – Taotua, Taituuga Kitchner Wesche, Taitu’uga Fuatino, Taitu’uga Ulufafo and Rosita Courdtz.

Thirty-three of the new titleholders were bestowed the Taitu’uga title and 27 were bestowed with the Manu Samoa title.

The event was well attended by families and relatives. Reverend To’alua Perese blessed the ceremony and reminded the new title holders that the path to leadership is through service.
