Two grateful village Rugby Union teams on the southside of Upolu were the recipients of Welsh Rugby T -Shirts, Training Jerseys, Shorts and Socks.

This kit was kindly donated by the visiting Welsh team back in June of this year.

It was the request of the Welsh team that it would be distributed among some village  teams as a small token of their visit to Samoa.

They were very humbled by the enthusiastic way the Samoan people welcomed them and wanted to give  something back to the young rugby players.

Brian Hopley, General Manager of Rugby S.R.U., Tui Komiti, Development Coordinator of S.R.U, Tasalaotele Sapolu, Maree Hopley met with Puipuifatu Peni Mareko, Patele Farani Felise and Amituanai Sisi Alailima of Lotofaga in the District of Lotofaga.

The second delivery was to the  village team of Lotofaga in the district of Safata.

There, the Pulenuu, Lau Pepese, Feiaoga Lau Sui, Faiaga Muaiavo Loi, Sui o Nuu Lau Tito and Muliagatele Vaelua Tafau of Vai Villas accepted their donation of Welsh kit for the players.

Brian Hopley thanked these village representatives for their welcome, their kind words and expression of thanks on receiving the Welsh Kit.
