The role of Deputy Vice Chancellor at the National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) is up for grabs but the institution is remaining tightlipped about why.

The position was recently held by Pesetā Dr. Desmond Lee Hang, who also became the University’s Deputy Chairman last year.

Contacted for a comment, Peseta declined.

Similarly, the Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Fui Asofou So'o, refused to comment.

The Samoa Observer wanted a confirmation or denial from the Vice Chancellor on whether Peseta’s contract had finished or whether it was prematurely ended.

The Samoa Observer also wanted to confirm reports that an investigation has been launched into issues at the university in relation to the role and that the former Deputy Vice Chancellor is contesting the decision.
