Money spent here
Re: P.M. blasts the Samoa Observer
Apart from the schoolboy name calling and usual demeaning attitude, for the first time I can remember, I almost agree with the PM.
S.N.P.F funds need to be loaned out as a means of generating return for the contributors. In these cases, they invested in development projects taking place in Samoa, by foreign companies.
I don’t see the issue, as the money is being spent here and should generate jobs for locals and tax revenue for the government. It seems like a win all round.
So long as the loan is secured in such a way that the fund won’t be left holding a bad debt if the projects fail, it is probably a good thing for the fund to invest in.
