Kaino and skipper Fanolua helped Manu Samoa flyhalf Patrick Faapale sparked their depleted backline. Blackie trailed for the majority of the match.

So whatever was said in the dressing room at halftime saw the BBE Vaiala team dig deep against a physical Moataa outfit seeking their second week holding the Farmer Joe Supermarket shield, but the BBE Vaiala packs were unstoppable near the line, muscling their way over for tries in the 72nd and the 78th minutes of the game.
