Former Miss South Pacific heads A.P.T.C. in Samoa

The Australian Pacific Training Coalition (A.P.T.C.), formerly known as the Australian Pacific Training College, has a new Director.

She is former Miss South Pacific and Miss Samoa, Cheri Robinson Moors.

Mrs. Moors is moving to her new role having occupied the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor– Corporate Services at the National University of Samoa (N.U.S).

The appointment was confirmed by Mrs. Moors last night.

A.P.T.C. is a centre of training excellence, helping students gain Australian-standard skills and qualifications for a wide range of vocational careers throughout the Pacific.

The College works closely with industry representatives around the Pacific to ensure training programmes are relevant and aligned with career opportunities.

In addition to training for individuals, it offer employers customised training and consultancy services in targeted industry sectors to increase the productivity of their employees and the organisation.

A.P.T.C. is an Australian Government initiative announced at the Pacific Islands Forum in 2006 and welcomed by Pacific Island leaders. 

It is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by TAFE Queensland.
