Samoa reunion joy for Aussie family
Samoa feels more like a home then a holiday destination for Bob Moore.
This is because he gets to reunite with his daughter and grandchildren, who moved to Samoa five months ago for work purposes.
He is in Samoa with his wife. They are from Perth, Australia.
The Dear Tourist team found Bob sipping on his coffee and spending quality time with his granddaughter, Sophie.
Bob described the Samoan people as friendly and very welcoming.
Their holiday trip to visit loved ones has made him understand her daughter and grandchildren are being well looked after.
“My daughter is Sophie’s mother, she moved here for work and they have been here for about four months.”
“They used to live in Canberra and now they have moved all the way here and they have brought my granddaughters with them.”
“I have seen where they live and it is quite safe. They have a security guard who works every day, so that is good, it is all part of the contract.”
They also got to understand a little bit of the Samoan culture.
“Overall with the printing of the lavalava we are learning it shows some culture of how the Samoan life is like. These activities are good for the children to understand the culture.”
“My granddaughter looks like she is having fun with what she is doing, which is good. We are just here for a short holiday to visit them and just relax.”
