Peleti needs a job

The lack of job opportunities can cause and create problems for people.

If you don’t have a job to depend on; it simply means you have no means of making a living.

Peleti Tau, 32,  of Aele Fou knows this and that’s why he really needs a job.

When speaking to the Village Voice yesterday, Mr. Tau humbly said that he only works part time jobs two days a week for a man residing at Leulumoega uta.

“I come here to work for this man for a bit of money to take care of my family.

“My family is a lowly family; that’s where the problems are at in terms of not enough money and resources to take care of the family.

“Even with our home situation, we only have one house for all of us.

Mr. Tau went on to speak about his work experience.

“I come here to clean this man’s land every week and I get $40 a day from it,” said Mr. Tau to Village Voice.

“It’s enough for a day but not enough for a week.

“I think that’s a problem that our society is now facing; too many things to do but we only hold a small amount of cash.

“That’s why I come here to work this job every week even though it’s far away and it doesn’t exactly cover all our needs but it’s what I have and I really need the money.

“Mind you, I have four children and I also have a big family and only three of us work.

“I work and my other two brothers as well and we have to work because we’re the ones looking after the family.

Mr.Tau stays with his wife and children, adding onto that; is his mother and two brothers.

“The problem here, is that it’s tough to find a good job nowadays to support your family and whatever we find, we just take it because what else can we depend on?

“I also have three children currently in school so that’s why I really want a stable job of my own.

“So besides this part time job, we literally have nothing to work on.

“After this we try to find other jobs to make some money from.

“I just really need a job. I am a hardworking person and I’m good at cleaning lands like what I’m doing now or any other work that’s related to the plantations or lands.

“But for me right now, whatever job I will be blessed with, I will do my best in doing it.”
