A reunion that started from casual Facebook conversations became a reality two weekends ago.

It has been 20 years since the Year 13 class of 1998 graduated from Catholic Senior School (C.S.S.). Moamoa.

Classmates from America, New Zealand, Australia and locals were reunited over a three-day event.

It started off with a Fiafia night at the Tanoa Tusitala hotel, attended by their Principal Aeau Chris Hazelman and vice-principal Peseta Desmond Lee Hang.

Aeau expressed his joy with the efforts of his students.

“I am so proud of your class as I am with all my classes and students,” he said.

“Do your job, and do it well and that it is proof that I did mine.  I am extremely humbled to be here this evening because you are the first class ever to have a reunion like this and for that I thank you for the invitation.”

Also included in the programme, a family fun day, mass and toonai.

Stories were retold, laughter was in abundance.

A trip down memory lane that will be remembered for years to come.

One former student explained their bond.

“We came from different schools, Chanel College, St Joseph’s College, St Mary’s College, Pope Paul VI College.  We became a family at C.S.S. and the best of friends.  Friendships that have lasted over time.”

Another reunion is being planned.
