Former U.S.A Women’s Soccer player, Lori Lindsey, is in Samoa.

Yesterday, she visited Samoa Primary school where she shared the message of working hard in the classroom, staying physically active, and eating healthy with the students and faculty in attendance.  

And with the help of Football Federation Samoa, she also got a chance to get out on the field and play soccer with the kids.  

 Lori will be visiting several schools and working with the Samoan national teams to share her experiences and impress upon Samoa’s youth the importance of both the physical and mental toughness needed to become an elite athlete.  This program is part of the U.S. Embassy Apia’s Sports Envoy program. 

Lori’s professional playing career spanned 13 years, with her most notable accomplishments of representing the United States Women’s National Soccer Team on the World Cup and Olympic stage. 

Lori is one of only four players to have played in all three U.S. professional women’s soccer leagues and was a two-time All-American at the University of Virginia. 

Now that Lori’s playing days are finished she is currently a personal trainer/coach at Ambitious Athletics in Washington, DC. 

She credits her success and longevity both on and off to strength training and is passionate about empowering young female athletes through strength.
