Ambassadors of peace from Samoa

Ten more members of the Samoa Police Service have left for South Sudan.

The group departed Samoa last Friday, beginning the long trip as they head for the United Nation African Mission in South Sudan (U.N.M.I.S.S.).

The Commissioner of Police, Fuiava Egon Keil, on behalf of S.P.S. bid farewell to the Police officers last week.

The Commissioner of Police in his farewell speech congratulated the members for making it through the tough selection process. 

Furthermore, he reminded the officers about their roles as ambassadors of Samoa who will be carrying the Samoan flag in the U.N. arena. 

He wished them all the best in their 12 months deployment.

 

The officers are: 

Sgt Lelefu Maatusi, Corporal Edmonton Masoe, Constable Tiavi Junior Galuvao, Constable Taufale Junior Afereti, Constable Penehuro Paniani, Constable Mao Kolio, Constable Solomona Aimaasu, Constable Shrikrishna Schwenke, W/Constable Henifa Bryce and W/Constable Vitolina Niko
