Numbers don’t lie

Re: Remittances and Samoans abroad

People lie but numbers don’t lie.

NZ $203.87 million, Australia $162.28 million, United States $87.88 million.

American Samoa with $17.63 million, United Kingdom $4.22 million and Fiji $3.13 million.

So around $450million is sent from families living in Australia, New Zealand and United States.

Notice no money was sent from China. Another thing is the government of Samoa should be encouraging young Samoans to get a very high level of education (especially English grammar) so that all young Samoans can get a good job in Aus/NZ/US and send more money back to Samoa.

Young Samoans heading over to Aus/NZ/US can barely speak English.
