Brothers on trial for aggravated robbery
A trial date has been set for two brothers in connection with the alleged beating of businessman David Main.
The brothers Davis and Richard Burgess are represented by lawyer Theresa Momoisea, and are scheduled to appear for trial on August 12, this year.
The date was confirmed by Chief Justice, His Honour, Patu Tiava’asue Falefatu Sapolu in criminal mention yesterday.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charge against them.
Outside the Court, Ms. Momoisea confirmed the brothers are charged with aggravated robbery and are out on bail.
In September last year, Mr. Main was allegedly beaten by the two men opposite McDonald’s restaurant during the early hours of a Saturday morning.
