Samoans embrace the Webb Ellis Trophy

For many fans, they had the chance to get up close with the famous Webb Ellis Trophy in Apia last week.

The Cup made a trip to Apia from New Zealand and was on display at the Rugby World Cup 2019 qualifier match between Samoa and Fiji.

The qualifier was the final match of the 2017 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup tournament. Fiji won.

Prior to the test, the Cup and the accompanying officials made a courtesy call to Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi.

It was also taken to schools, local rugby clubs and was on also display at the Fan Zone Area before kick off on Match Day.
