The Samoa School Principal Association hosted a welcoming dinner for the Under 18 Gold Medalists team from the recent Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas at the Taumeasina Island Resort.

President of S.P.A., Tu’ave Titi To’a told Samoa Observer that celebrating the achievements and contributions of young people is very important.

“That’s why we are here tonight, to give thanks together to our Heavenly Father for his guidance to these young ones, for without Him nothing is impossible.

He believes that setting a good example for children of Samoa through rugby and other sports is another way forward to shape their world in a big way.

“The fact is – they are our children, they are the future, if we nurture them right, so they grow up to be able leaders and lead Samoa towards better future.

“I encourage parents and all of us adults and leaders to actively facilitate and create opportunities for our children to use whatever talents to develop families and country.

“It’s all about ensuring that our children have the abilities and supporting environments to live good lives, now and in future.

To the team ‘May you continue to use your youth in ways that will make your parents, brothers and sisters and all of us proud’

“Remember every ending is another beginning, so this is just the beginning of another chapter, and there are challenges along the way.

“Where you have made mistakes, pick yourself up and continue for they are part but another way to learn and be better.

“Once again, thank you for your contributions through serving your parents, families and most importantly - as great ambassadors for Samoa.”
